For many years he was popularly called "the eagle". The first one was also acquired in 1513, in Girona, built by Sebastià Gual, who received 29 pounds and 6 sous. The second, of which the present is a replica, was commissioned by the Jury by agreement of June 9, 1722, to consider too heavy the one that was there; the same criteria was followed to construct the current replica. It cost 62 pounds and 3 sous, of which 33 were paid to the sculptor.
