The city of Girona commemorated the 1-O and the unity of independence in an event organized by Girona Vota in which hundreds of people lit torches along Avenida Jaume I, between Plaça del Mercat and the crossing with Pompeu Fabra.
Before lighting the torches and passing the flame, from the stage the volunteer lawyers of Right to Defense, who on the day of the referendum were distributed by the 21 polling stations of the city, and who lead the complaint collective for the charges of the 1-O in Girona, Sant Julià de Ramis and Aiguaviva, read a manifesto calling on the public to continue fighting for everything they began to fight the 1O of 2017.
